Description
A giant floppy disk with the Hack the Planet label, for coders, gamers and anyone who grew up with the click of a disk drive. Every piece is made by hand in our workshop in Türkiye, with the label painted in the color you choose.
Two versions for now: Unlit, or Static LED with hidden LEDs in the color you pick and a small power button to switch the light on and off. It looks just as good in daylight with the lights off.
Coming soon: Animated LED and Sound-reactive LED versions.

Size & light
About 13 × 13 in (33 × 33 cm). Hang it on the wall with two small nails through the holes on the back, or stand it on your desk or shelf.
Static LED: hidden LEDs glow in the color you choose, or in several colors as shown in the photos. High-brightness LEDs rated for 60,000 hours, and a small power button to switch the light on and off. It looks good in daylight with the lights off, too.
Unlit pieces can't be lit later, as they aren't built for LEDs.

Made to order: each piece is made by hand in 7–10 days, then packed securely. Every order ships with a tracking number.
United States: shipped duties paid, so there are no import fees on delivery. Economy arrives in about 7–10 business days, Express in 2–3 business days after shipping.
Europe and other countries: express shipping with UPS, FedEx or DHL. Any import duties or taxes are paid by the buyer on delivery.

Ask the makerIs every piece handmade?
Yes. Every LEDCLAW piece is designed, assembled, painted and finished by hand in our small workshop in Türkiye, in small quantities. Each one takes 7–10 days to make before it ships. Tip: ordering a gift? Order three to four weeks ahead, or two to three weeks ahead with Express shipping. Need it by a certain date? Ask us before you order.
How does Sound-reactive mode work?
A built-in microphone hears the music in your room and turns it into moving light, so there is nothing to plug into your turntable or speakers. It works with anything you can hear in the room, from vinyl to streaming. With headphones on, the microphone can't hear your music, so switch to an animated mode. Available on the Visualizer and the Sound-reactive Cassette, and coming soon for the Floppy Disk.
What do Animated modes do?
Animated modes play built-in light animations without any music. Choose animations and color palettes in the web app, save your favorites and switch between them with the knob, with an on/off timer and night dimming too. Available on the Animated and Sound-reactive Cassettes and as ambient mode on the Visualizer, and coming soon for the Floppy Disk. The Static LED Floppy Disk has one steady glow in the color you choose.
What is an Unlit piece?
An Unlit piece is pure décor: the same handmade, hand-painted piece without LEDs, so there is no cable and no power needed. Unlit pieces can't be lit later, as they aren't built for LEDs. Available for the Cassette and the Floppy Disk.
What comes in the box?
Visualizer: the Visualizer, two interchangeable top panels in your chosen pair, a removable record holder, a 3.3 ft (100 cm) USB-A to USB-C cable and a user manual. Cassette: your cassette and a display stand; lit editions also come with a USB-C cable (use any 5V / 2A USB wall adapter). Floppy Disk: your floppy disk, a display stand and hanging parts; Static LED adds a 12 V adapter, an extension cable and a plug converter. Record: comes with a display stand too.
Can I hang it on the wall?
Yes. Every LEDCLAW piece can hang on the wall or stand on a desk, a shelf or any flat surface. Cassettes, floppy disks and records come with a display stand, and the Visualizer has keyhole mounts on the back and soft rubber feet.
Can I personalize my piece?
Yes, in two ways. Design your own cassette in the Tape Studio, or choose the size, finish and top panels of your Visualizer. Or let us design a piece, or a matching set for your room, just for you: that's Made for Your Space, under Custom in the menu.
How much does a custom design cost?
The design fee is $40 for one piece, $35 per piece for two and $25 per piece for three or more, plus the shop price of each piece. A completely new form is $150 plus the price of the closest standard piece. After we confirm your project, a $10 deposit per piece starts the design and comes off your final order.
How long does a custom design take?
It depends on your idea and the workshop's schedule, so tell us the date you have in mind when you write. We agree on the timing with you before you pay anything. Once you approve the design, each piece is made in 7–10 days and then shipped with tracking.
Will my piece arrive safely?
We've been packing and shipping LEDCLAW pieces around the world for five years. Out of about 2,500 pieces, only 2 have arrived damaged. Every piece is packed by hand and shipped with tracking, and if yours ever arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every LEDCLAW piece has a lifetime warranty against faults: if it stops working as it should, we repair or replace it free of charge. The warranty doesn't cover damage from the wrong power adapter, problems with your mains power, or accidents such as drops or water.
Can I return or cancel my order?
Standard pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and Visualizers can be canceled any time until they ship. Personalized pieces, like Tape Studio cassettes and custom designs, can't be returned, but you can cancel within 6 hours of ordering. Color changes aren't possible once a piece has been painted. Will I pay import duties or taxes?
US orders ship duties paid, so there are no import fees to pay on delivery. For Europe and other countries, import VAT, duties and any carrier fees are set by your country's customs and paid to the carrier on delivery. We don't collect them, so we can't refund them.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes, we ship worldwide and every order has a tracking number. In the US, Economy takes about 7–10 and Express 2–3 business days after shipping.
